  • For wisdom teeth or dental implant surgery, please bring your most recent radiographs with you to your initial appointment (if available). For all other procedures (jaw surgery, apicoectomy and bone grafting) new radiographs will be taken in our offices.

    Also plan for the following:

    • 2 to 3 days away from work (wisdom teeth, dental implant surgery)
    • Ice to apply after the procedure
    • A soft diet for a few days following surgery

Some procedures like wisdom teeth surgery or dental implant placement are done under IV sedation or general anesthesia.  For patients undergoing these particular maxillofacial procedures, it is important to fast for at least 6 hours prior to surgery and to be accompanied by an adult.
